Several times a year Jenny, Hanny and Julie get together for lunch with their X-boss,
Retired Congressman John LaFalce. Today, they were all at the farm for a nice Italian meal.
I made the sauce a couple of days ago and that made the prep for today much easier.
Gary picked sunflowers and created bouquets for all of our guests.
We started out on the back porch...
then it was time to eat.
Simple and delicious.
There was a lot of talk about the past.
As a Congressional Aide, Jenny had so many great opportunities.
When the Clintons were in the White House she went to the Congressional Ball with
John and was able to have many other experiences involving the political scene.

Gary and I helped John with his first campaign back in the early 70s.
Jenny brought dessert (the grand finale to our meal)
and then we went back outside to grab a few photos.
Little Wonder wanted in on the action.
John frequently refers to these three as his "girlfriends" but I am pretty sure he won't mention that on FaceBook tonight! He is so good about staying in touch with his past staffers.
We all had a great time catching up and it was a pleasure to see John and listen to
some of his stories.

Great company, lovely table flowers, and yummy food. Goodness galore shone in every photo. people, a doggie or more, and the settings.
